Death in Slow Motion: Women and Girls Under Taliban Rule

Remember Girls Not Brides? Good luck. You're gonna need it.

Abandoned. Erased. Alone. Afghan women are on their own. Nobody will come to their aid. No matter what.

In the middle the image from the Amnesty International report on women and girls under Taliban rule. To the sides Degas' painting of Dante and Virgil who are about to enter hell.

December 02 is International Day for the Abolition of Slavery. The obvious topic this year is the world cup football in Qatar. In 2014 Deadspin, a sports magazine, wrote "Qatar's World Cup Expected To Take More Lives Than 9/11", which is about 3.000. Qatar is furious. As it turns out at least double that number didn't survive. According to the Guardian some 6,500 migrant workers died in Qatar, building a 200 billion dollar infrastructure for the world cup. And that's a very conservative estimate. There's more than enough coverage - but very little action - when it comes to a world cup built on modern slavery, let's focus on Afghanistan instead.

Modern Day Slavery Makes a Comeback In Afghanistan

Horriffic but no surprises

Apparently bombing your enemy back to the Stone Age does exactly that. Mission accomplished. Who would've guessed?

"It was one of those great moments in history that never actually happened: According to one legend, Enrico Caruso was in San Francisco during the earthquake of 1906, staying at the Palace Hotel. As people panicked and chaos ensued in the aftermath, the great tenor appeared — some said on the balcony of his hotel room, which didn’t exist — and sang an aria to calm the masses."

“ When people show you who they are, believe them the first time”
- Maya Angelou
Never believe the hype. 115 Years later, other side of the globe. No singer, song or whatever that can calm the women of Afghanistan who are about to face the horrors of tomorrow. Make no mistake, the Taliban does not believe in God. Anyone who has ever joined them for that purpose, long left. They're pure evil.

Never Self Defence! Handcuffed Wife Faces Life In Jail For Shooting Rapist Husband

Of course it's not self defence. It never is. Not even when a woman protects their children. No matter what. [0] [1]

[Are you really that self-absorbed, you believe, her first instinct is to save herself? Congrats, there's a bright future in findomming ahead of you.] [11]

Still no self defence?

The beauty of the decimal system is lost upon most. Luckily there's the number 11, AKA fool's number. Meanwhile the number 12 stands for perfection. Don't believe the hype.

China's Uighur Minority Locked Up In Concentration Camps

Identity is not about what meets the eye

If you don't look like us or act like us, you can never be like us. Just in case you didn't get why I don't like the current OWK's management. More on that later.

Missed my deadline. Blame Covid -19. Running late for this year's post on International Day for the Abolation of Slavery - Modern Day Slavery for short. That was on December 02. Yes, my blogging calendar is full, but don't worry, I'll never miss this one entry. It's the single, most important day for all that have crossed over to the Dark Side. BDSM, femdom, it's up to us to accept or renounce. We're free to say yes or no. And no, our preferences are not generally accepted, but in the greater scheme of things, who dares complaining?

British Tax Payers - Black and White - Finally Pay Off Loan To Former Slave Owners

What's 200 years between friends?

No, the British didn't compensate their former slaves, it's owners were paid handsomely for loss of their property. And it was pretty expensive.

Beatrix, former queen of the Netherlands, in a golden carriage. What is conveniently left out from this Wikipedia image is a panel painted on the other side. Is called something like "Colonies paying tribute to the Dutch Virgin." The Virgin represents the Dutch Commonwealth.

Dutch has set himself a goal: to become the most boring person of 2020. In order to reach that goal, I read boring stuff. Nothing is duller than taxes, it's why I read the Tax Justice Network newsletter.

Lady Luck cannot hate me. I'm born in a rich country, male, white and university-educated plus other privileges I will never know exist for real. I hope you understand irony, because that's what this next line is all about. Somehow I cannot win [loose], not even when I try to be boring. I was so sad the other day after reading the Tax Justice Network newsletter.

Removing statues of politically-incorrect historical figures is the biggest mistake ever. The less future generations know about the atrocities of the past, the harder it is to make them understand what's wrong in today's society. Paint them pink and put them on display in a museum, explanation about why they were truly evil next to it. Whatever you do, don't hide the truth.

Child Goddesses of Nepal

"goddesses inside the temples but mere objects outside"

Writing about child goddesses as this year's post about modern day slavery is an unusual choice, I agree. It's not exactly slavery but these very young girls aren't free either.

Last year I wrote about how queen Elisabeth made a former New Zealand sex worker a dame in her birthday honours. That must have made it even harder for her majesty to deal with the fact that her second son, prince Andrew, partied with convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. British tabloid the Daily Mail has published footage of the Duke of York in Epstein's Manhattan mansion in 2010. When you see how young some of these girls are, you know just how wrong it is.

Fight Against Slavery Group Advertises for Unpaid Internship

Basically such a headline tells you everything that is wrong with the modern world. I'm  wondering if "Fight Against Slavery Group Advertises for Unpaid Internship" was a publicity stunt. If it was, they clearly didn't follow up on it. Why else would you look for an unpaid internship rather than search for a volunteer?

Today, December 02, is International Day for the Abolition of Slavery. Last year I discussed "My family's Slave", a story written by Alex Tizón about Mrs. Pulido, his family's house slave. During the year I bookmark articles and on December second I weave them together. This year a selection of stories dealing with modern day slavery in various forms, such as forced marriage and forced labour. Moms are the world's natural goddesses. In one particular depressing read however a mother betrays her daughter by marrying him off to a far flung relative in Pakistan.

Writer's block is not really my thing. Despite that, it is sad to see just how easy - technically that is - it was to write this post.

"My Family's Slave": A Story about Modern Day Slavery

Last May The Atlantic published a story by Alex Tizón, called "My family's slave." After I read it, I knew, this is what I want to write about for this year's edition of the International Day for the Abolition of Slavery. I urge you to read the story for yourself, but a warning: it's not an easy read.

Modern Day Slavery - 11 Articles

December 02 is the annual  International Day for the Abolition of Slavery. Me so [real] horny gets boring after a while. Once a year I write about modern day slavery and real people, whose suffering is real. This year a selection of 11 articles that chronicle modern day slavery.

Slavery, a 21st century evil

The freedom to make your own choices - especially when it comes to playing games, no matter how weird they are - is a privilege. In the real world millions of people live in terrible conditions that are so bad that they are referred to as modern day slaves. This June I wrote about a newspaper article stating that there are 17.500 modern slaves in the Netherlands. I was shocked.

We close our eyes
Western governments and its people have closed their eyes for too long when it comes to modern day slavery. The first International Day for the Abolition of Slavery was celebrated just 30 years ago. Once a year, on December 02 - International Day for the Abolition of Slavery - I write about slavery in the real world. This year I selected 11 articles that chronicle modern day slavery. So please, next time when you proudly proclaim "for us it's real", think about what you say.

Even in the "civilized' world - our world.

The Farm Boy Who Got What He Wanted - and other stories

Today a selection of news clipping related to femdom. Have a laugh at the farmer slaves, shed a tear for the abused employee, get some non-sexual healing, but whatever you do, don't read the last article.

Guess this is what the hillbillies signed up for (in their dreams)
(Image: Ama K from Latin Beauties in High Heels)

Without a Whip
The first one is a story from 2013. A fake dominatrix lures slaves for farm work. An Austrian woman placed an ad, looking for slaves to do hard labour, a privilige the men had to pay for. Some fifteen responded and two or three took her up on her offer. After working on the farm for a week, they realized they were duped and filed a complained with the local prosecutors office. Guess those men not too bright, they are into public humiliation as well.

Modern Day Slaves in the Netherlands

Yesterday I read an article from Dutchnews.nl (never mind their English) on the shockingly large number of modern day slaves in the Netherlands.

The outlook is bleak (Image: 2016 Global Slavery Index)

Then

Slavery has a long tradition in the low countries, but always out of sight. The worlds first multinational was the VOC, the Dutch East India company. Two main sources of income were the colonies and the slave trade, intricably linked. A few years ago a former prime minister boasted of the proud tradition of the Verenigde Oostindische Compagnie and conveniently forgot all the human suffering that helped pay for it.

Debt Bondage 2.0: Pay Day Loans & Cash Advances

Modern day slavery exists right under our noses. Short term lending is one such example. It prays on the desperate – and often financial illiterate – who have no way out. The pay day loan industry presents itself as a good samaritan. Don’t be fooled. They are loan-sharks who pray on the weak. After all business is business.

A small loan, you pay back in a few weeks time, it seems so convenient. You need money now. What else can you do? Most customers have no idea just how much they have to pay back later. In part the industry relies on this. These loans come with high interest rates. Then there are the fees. Loans spin out of control because of the combination of these combined with hidden charges.

Maid's Hand Cut Off - Modern Day Slavery At Its Worst

Once a year on December 02 - International Day for the Abolition of Slavery - I write about real world slavery. Of course it exists 385 days a year, but it is not the main topic of my blog. Neither is travelling. The story of an Indian maid in Saudi Arabia, whose hand was cut of by her employer trying to flee is what prompted me.

The insanity of it all.
Leaving it all behind to provide for your loved ones and then this.

Saudi Enigmia
For some reason, Saudi Arabia is high on my travel bucket list. As a Christian, it is not about the pilgrimage to Mecca. That would be totally disrepectful. The country is an mystery. The only time ever, they allowed foreigners into the country, was in 2014. However that year I travelled to perhaps the biggest shithole in the world, before it became like really unsafe. I didn't get blown-up and had a blast. If you think there is no bigger adrenaline rush than serving your mistress, perhaps you should come on a trip with me.

Contemporary Slavery: Change Begins With Awareness

Nobody wants modern day slavery to exist. Yet we are hooked on cheap stuff. That means industrial slavery. Raising awareness about labour conditions that can only be described as slavery is a first step towards ending it.

Today, December 02, is International Day for the Abolition of Modern Day Slavery. Anonymous people in far away countries assemble our phones and other gadgets for very little money. A few people jumped of the Foxcon building trying to make a statement about horrible working conditions but other than that it is business as usual. In the end we all want the Iphone 666 at bargain prices.

One in Ten People In The World Is A Modern Day Slave

One in ten people in the world today is a slave. The practice continues to exist because we profit and slaves are powerless. A glance at the various modern day forms of slavery.

December, season of love, happiness and joy, just started but we are already thinking of Christmas. Perhaps dreaming of spending the holidays with our loved ones. Me, I'm hoping my girl and me get back together. For good this time.

But this second day of December is not nearly as festive as the last days of the year. Today is the International Day for the Abolition of Slavery. Wasn't that abolished long ago? Yes, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist any more. We kinksters should pause for a minute and remember what slavery actually means. It is not all fun and games. Au contraire it is one of the most horrific things that exists on this planet.
