Eva Carneiro: Eyes are the Mirror of the Soul

A while back i suggested that former US Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice was the person to replace Sepp Blatter as head of world football association FIFA. Guess I am the only one who likes the idea.

When you blog there is only one rule: every post needs an image, so I selected a picture of Chelsea club doctor Eva Carneiro treating Demba Ba's broken nose. This week doctor Carneiro made headline news again and what caught my attention was the expression on her face: ferocious.

What happened?

During a match against Swansea last Saturday Carneiro ran on to the field to treat Eden Hazard, who had gone down with an injury. The medics were beckoned on by the referee, merely fulfilling their duty of care as medical professionals. Coach Mourinho, though, was incensed. With Chelsea already down to 10 men  and the game level at 2-2, he was worried that his team might be vulnerable with only eight outfield players to a Swansea counter for the winning goal.
Carneiro was later demoted after which the Premier League Doctors’ Group expressed concern that results were more important than the welfare of players.

A domme in Florida is currently being sued for exploitation of an elderly person, defined as someone over sixty. She allegedly took about half a million dollars in cash and the deed to his house in the four years he was her client. The domme also accompanied him to an appointment with a neuropsychologist and psychotherapist in 2013. The slave's lawyer claims she was aware of his diminished capacities and the plaintiff is now seeking compensation.

Punishment in the country side

Kink doesn't always have to be complicated to be interesting. This post on Tumblr by Need Her Discipline shows that. No Fifty Shades of Silliness, but rather real people enjoying their kink.

Perhaps the couple took a wrong turn and ended up somewhere in the country, but it makes for an interesting setting. There is no one for miles around - try that in over here in Holland - so no need for gags. You know what's gonna happen but it still is fascinating to see her pull the belt out of her jeans and administer some serious punishment.

Killer hides in S&M room

It is August and it is definitely silly season in the papers. Earlier today I read one of the funniest frivolous news stories ever (link in Dutch). A man, convicted of murder in Belgium had managed to escape during his trial in 2013. He successfully evaded arrest for almost two years. Today the police was finally able to apprehend him. The murderer was hiding in a small space he created himself behind a mirror in an S&M room in a house in central Brussels.

I think Fifty Shades is to blame for his creative choice of hide out. After his arrest the man was transferred to the prison of St. Gilles. According to the police his prison cell will be larger than the space he was hiding in. He should be grateful for that because he has been sentenced to life in prison.

Bizarre Britain (not a good thing)

What's wrong with Britain these days? London is becoming a ghost town - a mausoleum for wealthy ghosts that is - and will soon declare independence as the city state of Richistan. One columnist even expresses amazement that Hoxton is hot. Perhaps I should explain. In other parts of the city buildings attack people like they want to ban humans from the capital altogether and to top it all of you have David Cameron in 10 Downing Street. He came close to gambling away Scotland and the even the European Union got involved, blackmailing the Scots with visions of a bleak future.
